Configure Hero Banner

The Plaza theme now offers a new Hero Banner component that allows marketplace managers to create visually appealing banners to showcase products, promotions, and messages in a way that captures customers’ attention.

This component is available only for the Home Page of the Plaza theme. The Hero Banners can be placed in prominent locations on the Home Page to draw customers’ attention to current promotions. Using this component, marketplace managers can:

• Add customized banner tagline, title, button labels, images, and so on.
• Enhance search on the Home Page by adding a search bar to the banner.
• Change the appearance of the banner according to the company's standards by configuring display settings, colors, text alignment, text size, and so on.

To configure a Hero Banner, perform the following steps:

1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Theme Manager.
2. In the My Themes list, locate your theme and click Customize.
3. From the drop-down menu at the top left, select the Home Page (it displays Home Page by default).
4. In the Customize pane, click Components.
   The component list opens and displays all the components currently available for the page.
5. Click Add.
   A list of all possible components opens.
6. Click Hero Banner.
   The Hero Banner is added to the page, and the Edit menu opens in the left pane to customize the settings according to company standards.

Feature enablement

No feature enablement is required for non-customized themes based on Plaza. For customized themes, marketplace managers must:

1. Install the latest version of the Storefront Toolkit component library.
2. Update, upload, and then publish the theme.
